Roscommon County Council announces Non-Statutory Public Consultation Event for Proposed iROS Sports Campus.
Roscommon County Council invites you the public to ‘Have Your Say’ on the iROS Indoor Recreation & Outdoor Sports Campusprojectin Roscommon Town. Interested parties are invited to attend the consultation event, view the plans, and share their views. Feedback from this event will inform the ongoing design of the project.
This transformative project aims to deliver a state-of-the-art sports and recreation facility of regional scale including:
A floodlit 3G and grass pitch with changing pavilion
New state of the art gym
2 large multi use studios
1 Spin studio
New foyer and Café
Connection to existing swimming pool
Variety of changing facilities providing access for all.
Outdoor changing pavilion
One synthetic 3G floodlit playing pitch
One grass floodlit playing pitch
Replacement of the existing tennis courts with 3 x MUGA (Multi Use game Area) courts
Playpark & walking trail
Improved parking and access infrastructure
The consultation seeks feedback on the initial design concepts and site layout proposals, which have been developed following a funding allocation from the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund (LSSIF).
The consultation will take place from 16th October to 31st October 2025.
Consultation Event: Interested parties are welcome to attend a drop-in information sessionon Wednesday 22nd Octoberfrom 12pm to 7pm in the foyer of Roscommon County Council Offices.
