A Proposed Residential Development at Castle Street, Elphin, Co. Roscommon, F45 YW71. The proposed development will consist of: Refurbishment of existing derelict Single-story dwelling with new rear pitched roof and East facing flat roof extension (total 47 Sqm) at Castle Street, Elphin, Co. Roscommon including all associated site works.
An appropriate assessment screening report and environmental impact assessment screening report of the proposed development has been completed and is available for inspection with this development. The reports concluded that a full EIAR is not required, and that the development does not need to proceed to Stage 2 appropriate assessment. Where any person considers that a development proposed to be carried out would be likely to have significant effects on the environment, he or she may, at any time before the expiration of 4 weeks beginning on the date of publication of the notice referred to in Article 81(2), apply to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have such effects.
Plans and Particulars of the proposed development may be inspected or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy for a period of 4 weeks from 26/06/2026 during public opening hours at the offices of the Housing Department, Áras an Chontae, Roscommon County Council, Roscommon F42 VR98. A submission or observation in relation to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made, via the online portal (link above) or in writing before 4pm on 10/08/2026 marked “Castle Street, Elphin, Roscommon Housing Refurbishment and extension” and submitted to:
